Why this blog?

Well, for the two years I was doing my MBA at Loyola, Chennai, I never heard the end of how every weekend people went to Pondy or Mahabs and had 'fun'.
Now, I was never there and would never have gone theire either if I was nt married off to (well, we are still a patriarchal society you know..) Pondy.
So I became the daughter in law of Pondy. My in laws had settled there 40 years back and I met their son and fell in love with him. We are happily married now and enjoying every single bit of it.
The week after marriage, I was taken back to Pondy. And that is when I realized, there is sooooooooooo much more in Pondy than the boozing I had heard most of my friends had done.
I decided that people should not miss out on this place just because they think it is just boozing and sleeping around (I am being brutally honest here - Couples come all the way just to take a room some times. But this blog is for those genuine people with a real interest in the place. So off you go!
